Benidorm is one of Spain's most popular tourist resorts. It is located on the Eastern (Mediterranean) Coast of Spain between Valencia and Alicante, in the province of Alicante, in a region known as the Costa Blanca. It is only a two hour flight from most major European Capitals. The nearest Airport is Alicante (El Altet) International Airport, linked by a motorway 60 km away (it means approximately a 40 minutes drive).
Benidorm is the biggest personality on the Costas, taking 4 million visitors comfortably in its stride. In the old town, you’ll find traces of traditional Spain but it’s the bold, brash sky-rise attitude that pulls in the crowds.
Fine golden sand, transparent waters and beaches that are clean and cared for throughout the year are a trademark of the Benidorm seafront. At its north end, two small coves of sand and rock are very suitable for diving and for those who like to swim alone.
Benidorm offers endless possibilities: from taking a walk along the promenade, swimming in the crystal clear waters, water sports, a boat excursion to the island of Tabarca, or a wander through Benidorm’s historic quarter, perched on a promontory, the old town is in great contrast to the wide avenues of the main tourist town.
Families with children of all ages are always well looked after and entertained when they need to be and adults can indulge themselves in whatever it is they like to get up to during a week or so in the sun. If you spend a week with your children in Benidorm, they'll always remember these sweet sunny moments. Aside playing on the beach, they can enjoy learning water sports, swimming with the dolphins, or observing the sea life near Benidorm Island up close, from the underwater deck of the Sub-aquatic catamaran. Continue the family adventure with Aitana Safari Park, Terra Natura and Terra Mitica, three of the most popular family attractions in the Benidorm area. There is also a nice place to see — Aqualandia which entertains its visitors with a variety of pools, rapids, slides and other water attractions. For chocolate lovers there is an interesting excursion to a chocolate factory! Children will be delighted!
There are now literally thousands of options for holidaymakers to choose from when it comes to accommodation in the town, with every taste and inclination catered for. And the compact nature of the town itself means that you are never likely to be far away at all from your favourite beach, bar, restaurant or whatever else it might be that you’re looking for.
Benidorm is what you want it to be: full of fun, with a fantastic nightlife, but is also affords peace and tranquillity with its charming gardens and secluded coves. Truly a place with something for everyone, it’s no wonder it's so popular.
